About a setup of a discount ticket convenient for watching 2002FIFA World Cup TM games at Miyagi Stadium

In JR East Japan, we set up a discount ticket convenient for watching World Cup soccer games and sightseeing so that a Japanese and visit-to-Japan foreigners can use a railroad smoothly and easily in connection with the 2002FIFA World Cup being held from May 31, 2002. Since confusion is expected, by all means, the hall nearby station on the day asks beforehand for a discount ticket, and should go out.

1. About sale of a ticket convenient for a round trip of a stadium

O From the metropolitan area to the Miyagi stadium - "Miyagi stadium games watching-ticket"
According to the game date in the Miyagi stadium, we put on the market the cheap ticket to which it can go and come back from a metropolitan area to the hall nearby station.

- Use conditions:: In a round trip, the standard car nonreserved seat of Tohoku Shinkansen gets used to use.
* It can also stop over at the Sendai station.
- Price:: Tokyo (inside of Tokyo ward) -> Sendai - Rifu, and Kokufu Tagajo (free section) 15,000 yen Omiya -> Sendai - Rifu, and Kokufu Tagajo (free section) 14,500 yen Yokohama (in the city) -> Sendai - Rifu, and Kokufu Tagajo (free section) 15,400 yen
-Term of validity: For two days
- Sale part: Ticket Reservation Office, the View Plaza, the operating branch, the tie-up selling center, the operating selling center, and the main travel companies of the main stations of a metropolitan area
- Sale period: May 20 to June 18, 2002
- Setting day: June 9, 12, and 18, 2002: * We set up according to the game date in the Miyagi stadium.

2. JR EAST PASS

About "JR EAST PASS" which is the goods for visit-to-Japan foreigners put on the market overseas, domestic extraordinary sale is carried out for those who have not been purchased overseas.

- Domestic sale period: May 20, 2002 to June 30

- The term of validity and price:

* The object for flexible four days can use four days within for one month after the date of issue, choosing them freely.

* "Youth" = A person aged more than 12 years and less than 25 years "for standard cars."

* Price of a child is a half of Adult.

- The main use conditions

The standard car reserved seat (if there are first-class cars, it is a first-class car) of the special express (including Shinkansen) and express of the JR East Japan whole line gets used to use.

- The main sale conditions

A person who has a passport other than Japan, and has the residents qualification of "short-term stay" or "Press"

* A "Press" person should start to use this ticket in a period from May 28 to June 30.

3. "Sendai access pass"

For a person going to the Miyagi stadium, we supply the round-ticket from the Sendai station to the Rifu station and Kokubu-tagajo station.

- Use conditions: Nonreserved seat of the local train of the section in Sendai - Rifu, and Kokufu Tagajo; getting-on-and-off freedom.
- Price 300 yen (a child is a half)
- Term of validity: For one day
- Sale part: Sendai station
- Sale period: June 1 - 18, 2002
- Setting day: June 9, 12, and 18, 2002: * We set up according to the game date in the Miyagi stadium.
